Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Voucher Program

This spay/neuter assistance program is available to qualified residents of Marshall County, Alabama. To quality you must submit proof that you currently receive government assistance or have an annual income of less than $37,600. You must also submit proof of a Marshall County address.
  • For owned pets only.
  • No feral or stray cats. Cats must be tame and able to be held.
  • Submit a separate application for each pet.
  • Spay/neuter vouchers have an expiration date of two (2) months from date of issue. If you fail to make an appointment before the expiration date, or you fail to show up for your pet's appointment, you will not receive a refund.
  • The cost is $10 and includes spay or neuter, an annual rabies vaccination, and a microchip.
  • If your pet is currently vaccinated against rabies you will need to show the veterinary clinic current proof. If you cannot show proof of current rabies vaccination your pet will receive a rabies vaccination at the time of surgery.
  • If you would like your pet to receive other services (such as other annual vaccinations, nails trimmed, dental cleaning, etc. you will need to discuss those with the veterinary clinic. 
You will be responsible for any additional costs other than spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchipping.

Tip:

Before beginning the application please have your documentation ready to upload.  Clear, readable photos of your government assistance paperwork and your proof of address are acceptable.  Your name must be visible in the photos.  We must be able to read the information.
